Salary: up to £68,000
Location: Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm, Grimsby
E.ON Climate & Renewables (EC&R) is responsible for E.ON's industrial-scale renewable energy activities. We develop, build and operate large renewable energy assets primarily in Europe and North America. Our technology portfolio covers onshore and offshore wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar power.
Humber Gateway reached a landmark achievement in 2015 when the wind farm became fully operational with all 73 turbines generating two months ahead of schedule.
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for delivering the maintenance strategy for wind farm assets, to meet contractual and customer demands and to ensure assets are operated and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, maximising the commercial value within compliance requirements.
During the warranty phase, this role will play a large part in supporting the relationship with the wind turbine supplier, during day-to-day operations and in preparation for the end of the warranty.
You will normally work Monday to Friday office hours however you must be flexible due to on-call rota including one weekend in four. Due to this rota we do require that you live within an hour drive from the site.
Essential skill requirements:
  • A suitable engineering degree, HNC or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience of wind farm assets.
  • A passion for Health and Safety, an extensive understanding of HSSE legislation and standards plus HSE IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications
  • Contract Management experience
  • A proven background in Maintenance and Operations and a record of initiating and delivering business improvements.
  • The ability to solve complex problems in a structured and professional way
 Desirable skills:
  • Multi feed Senior Authorised Person and Control Person up to 33kV.
  • Influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritisation and resource management.
  • A thorough knowledge of engineering standards and regulations.
  • Budgeting and financial management experience.
Due to the nature of this role a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) will be required.
