Good knowledge of international civil codes and standards for construction civil works, Preferable knowledge of Quality Assurance and ISO 9001-2008
Our client is seeking a QC Civil Inspector to work within their facilities located in The Netherlands.
This position is to act as a QC Civil Inspector on a refinery upgrade project.
Responsibilities / Requirements:
Oil and Gas industry - minimum 5 years' experience in Petrochemical industry and construction activities.
Must have held minimum 10 years Quality Control civil inspector position. In inspection of soils testing, concrete installation and testing, foundations, and piling
Must be the leader, and must schedule, coordinate and monitor all processes of Construction Quality Control for civil works
Be able to Interface with the Contractors, Client and third parties at for all aspects of Civil Quality
Attend weekly meeting with contractors to go over any quality issues.
Must be able to prepare QC documentation, review and coordinate QC documentation from the Contractor and Client (ITP, QC procedures, Method Statements, final dossiers, weekly/monthly reports, etc.) about Quality Control aspects for civil works, including also answering technical QC queries and finding technical solutions.
Participate in surveillance/auditing of contractor quality activities.
To verify the fulfillment of the specifications and procedures applicable to the QC activities of construction.
Monitor that Contractor inspection personnel working at site to ensure they are qualified and competent to perform their assigned tasks
Issue non-conformance reports when there is a deficiency and ensure their timely close out.
Assist with obtaining information from contractors to close out audit or surveillance findings
Coordinate Quality activities with Discipline Supervisors.
They must have organizational, communication skills and able to give the necessary training to the construction team to meet project QC requirements.
Good level of English mandatory. Other languages will be appreciated i.e Dutch.
Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
