Lead the Supply Chain Management function within the HBU Continental Europe. Ensure that the LPG/Sales units in the HBU are supported by internal and external suppliers that provide lowest total cost of ownership, right quality, on-time delivery and flawless execution, both during tendering and project execution.

Tasks:
Management:
- lead the Supply Chain Management function in the HBU in close co-ordination with the HBU manager and LPG/Sales units. Direct leadership of SCM resources in the HBU countries, active part in the SCM function transformation in line with Global WCP strategy

- create, develop and continuously improve HBU SCM organization in Trutnov, in order to cover all SCM activities for HBU projects in the future

Spend management, sourcing strategy:
- manage and develop material strategies, implement targets and standards/processes for the HBU in order to drive cost saving and maximize spend value

- ensure forward looking demand visibility in the HBU, and ensure that demands within the HBU, but also across HBUs are bundled to maximize leverage on the supply chain

- for categories managed by global category managers, ensure that the category managers receive sufficient market and demand input from the region, and that the category strategies and in particular the respective supplier classification are adhered to

- for categories managed in the HBU (e.g. engineering, commissioning & installation, etc.), ensure that supply markets and demand patterns are known and understood, that appropriate category strategies are defined in alignment with the business management and these strategies consider potential synergies in the HBU

- support the LPG/Sales unit managers in the selection, evaluation and development of LPG/Sales unit suppliers. Manages long term relationships with suppliers (including negotiations, frame agreements and purchase orders).

Monitoring:
- ensure that appropriate KPIs are implemented in the LPG/Sales unit organizations and monitor the actual performance and achievements at least on a monthly basis. Report HBU SCM performance to the BU SCM manager in alignment with the BU governance structure. Ensure in alignment with the LPG/Sales unit managers and BU SCM manager that corrective actions are taken in case of underperformance

- monitor that the SCM organizations in the HBU have the mandate for the complete internal and external spend, including specifically the mandate for contracted services. Monitor and ensure that the SCM organizations in the HBU are adequately staffed with regards to both headcount and competence

Processes:
- review implementation of the integration of SCM in the LPG/Sales units tender and execution processes and define jointly with the LPG, HBU and local division SCM manager corrective actions where required

- ensure that all applicable Group, Division and BU SCM processes, instructions and guidelines are trained and implemented in the HBU organization. Where appropriate, facilitate the implementation of SCM maturity assessment and ensure follow up of respective action plans. Standardize SCM processes and tools in the HBU, in line with BEC - SCM (former Group Function - SCM) or Divisional best practices, and ensure that SCM capacity can be balanced as required

Challenges:
- reaching challenging targets from BU SCM- payment terms, OQD, OTD, material turnover, etc.
Function transformation- transfer local SCM to one HBU SCM team located in Trutnov

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- senior SCM Manager, experienced in managing an SCM team, preferably in a project business environment. Experience in managing cross boarder teams is an asset. Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills. Advanced planning and organization skills. Fluent in English written and spoken, other European language is an advantage

Functional and reporting skills:
- familiar with reporting within corporate company. Ability to translate corporate goals into actionable
targets for subordinates. Relevant and appropriate communication with HBU, global functions and BU SCM

Regular business trips within Europe.
