Currently, we have an opportunity for an Energy Market Analyst who has a strong desire to be part of a well-established and growing North American power market consulting practice. Our team of professionals provides energy market consulting services such as: price forecasting services, energy market analysis, asset valuation, and other related services including strategy development.

Job Responsibilities: (depending on the complexity of each project, the work will be performed independently or as part of a team of consultants).

• Assist and support in the development of asset and portfolio market projections and valuations, and drafting consulting work products including, Market Consultant's Reports for varied clients such as energy development companies, financial institutions, and energy service companies.

• Working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and managers, who are leading energy market consulting studies by: conducting market research, performing market analysis, and using and applying utility market simulation models.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years of relevant experience, primarily in economic consulting work within the North American energy industry or a Master's degree with 2 years of directly relevant experience
  • Proficiency with market simulation models strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • Excellent analytical, technical writing and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of the major regional power markets in the U.S
