Vestas Technology & Service Solutions (TSS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved and tested. To put it short, we are shaping the future of modern energy and we operate on a global scale with more than 1,300 employees. As a part of Vestas Technology & Service Solutions, the Turbine Loads and Performance department is responsible for calculation of loads, power curves and noise to new product development, technology development, innovation projects, Product improvements and sales support. Currently, the department consists of 15 highly skilled and motivated engineers situated in Denmark and India.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be part of a team providing Loads and Performance engineering solutions to new and existing products.
  • This involves e.g. calculation of design loads, power curve and noise for new products, root cause analysis and problem solving related to turbines in operation, support of sales organization and technology development.
  • The work involves high level of engineering i.e. balancing a solution towards various specific requirements.
  • You will mainly work with aero-elastic simulation software and time series analysis.
  • You will be responsible for documenting and presenting your work in a precise way to your internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc/M.Tech in structural, civil, wind or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge within dynamic simulation of mechanical systems
  • 5 years relevant experience within wind energy engineering or similar field
  • Hands-on experience within product or technology development
  • Experience with the tools Flex5, Bladed or HAWC2 (aero-elastic simulations)
  • Programming experience preferably Matlab
  • Knowledge of control of mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of strength calculations.
