Job Overview:

Duties during the project office phase will be supporting final Pre-NTP activities related to estimating, planning of site facilities, development of project execution plan, oversight and approval of construction quality control plan, development and approval of site construction budget for staffing, equipment, indirect hours and direct hours. Coordination with project management and functional staff management for project related actions, initiatives and implementation.

As the project moves into the construction mobilization phase and erection phase, the site manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management functions of the project site team including field non manual, safety, department support services and craft forces. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Understands contract requirements
  • Manages the contract with client to ensure obligations are met, contract changes are captured and costed and build client relations.
  • Prepare Construction Execution Plan and insure all site personell are trainedin accordance with the execution plan
  • Responsible for Front Line Business Manager on site
  • Accountable for the functional direction, coordination, and performance of all on-site construction operations and support departments.•
  • Assures the development and implemention of the Site Safety Program and builds a culture that makes safety and environmental wareness a natural part of the job.
  • Responsible for all site budgets, cost and schedule
  • Responsible for assuring implementation of project procedures for all site construction departments
  • Responsible for overall site management of support departments i.e. Cost/Schedule, Procurement, Safety, Field Engineering/Supervision, Subcontracts
  • Approves final subcontract documents and contracts.
  • Assures site Quality Control Program is developed and implemented.
  • Assures implementation of the construction erection plan by site supervision
  • Responsible for material purchase final approvals
  • Assures the preparation of cost forecasts are coordinated and submitted with all site departments
Basic Qualifications:
  • Responsible for initiating site project team building
  • Responsible for day to day coordination with client conterpart on site.
  • Assures the proper implementation of the project Environment Control Plan
  • Conducts site walks for Safety with team members and client
  • Coordinates day to day with home office Project Management
  • Coordinates with construction functional management
  • Assures coordination between supervision and labor
  • Assures implementation of weekly site schedule meetings and 90 day look ahead
  • Assures lessons learned are captured and documented to home office
