Our Clark, NJ team is looking to add an entry level drafting/designer who will perform routine drafting assignments within company and industry standards and codes. Detailed drawings and verbal instructions are used as a means of data and information to perform these assignments. Works independently with guidance and support from Project Managers and/or Engineers. The CADD technician will work on a variety of projects pertaining to highway/transportation design.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop PS&E and schematic plans for structural bridge projects that meet current design standards.

• Recommends minor design changes to engineers.

• Works closely with other CADD staff, Engineers, and Project Managers to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.

• May prepare cost and quantity estimates.

• Complies with Jacobs' quality procedures and manuals.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience is required

• At least 1 year of computer aided drafting experience (CADD) is required

• At least 1 years of mechanical drawing design on projects is preferred

• At least 1 year designing with Microstation and GEOPAK or equivalent applications is preferred

• InRoads, BIM and PowerPoint experience is preferred
