Jacobs is seeking a highly motivated professional to lead its Transportation Practice in Georgia. Individual should have demonstrated operational group leadership, client management and business development experience for transportation-based business line. Selected individual will have demonstrated success in leadership of teams delivering all aspects of a robust transportation practice including planning, design, construction and program management. The successful candidate will be able to quickly establish strategic relationships with major public-sector transportation clients in the State of Georgia and collaborate with a dedicated sales team to grow the business.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include:

• Originating the strategic vision and investment for the transportation practice in coordination with national and regional operations and sales teams
• Developing the business plan and growth strategy in coordination with the national and regional operations and sales teams
• Serve as the senior operations manager responsible for providing leadership and direction to transportation staff in Georgia
• Champion collaboration with other Jacobs transportation business units to facilitate overall successful delivery to our clients and mutual success of
• Identifies opportunities to grow, diversify and differentiate Jacobs' product offerings
• Identifying, evaluating and recruiting key hires to assist in the growth strategy evaluating potential staff to execute projects
• General business development and marketing focus, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high quality performance of the operation
• Oversight of the negotiation of project contracts at the local level
• Takes ownership for project success: delivery of target quality, cost management and customer satisfaction
• Proactively uses Jacobs tools and methodologies to drive productivity and growth
• Managing the Profit/Loss performance of projects in accordance with "as sold metrics"
• Maintaining community presence and visibility through membership and participation in various professional, civic and business organizations as well as other appropriate means
• Participates in corporate initiatives to assist in meeting the company's goals.
• Responsible for the safety of Jacobs staff and models Jacobs Beyond Zero safety excellence; proactive in identification of and closure of gaps; measures safety performance
• Effectively communicates (verbal and written) expertise to peers and customers, and facilitates communications across multi-party activities; helps others develop these skills

• This position requires a minimum 15 years progressive experience in the consulting engineering design services arena, with a minimum 10 years in a management or leadership role.
• BS or MS degree in a related field is required, plus Professional Registration is preferred.
• Ideal candidate will possess targeted market involvement as it relates to Transportation Infrastructure programs required.
• Requires involvement in community and professional organizations and will require attendance at evening social and professional events.
• The candidate must have good leadership skills, a strategic focus to build a transportation practice, and able to identify, attract and hire key additional staff.
• The candidate must be able to articulate clear vision and direction and have good social, networking and presentation skills.
• Experience in Georgia transportation market is highly preferred but not required.
