An exciting opportunity has arisen at npower for a Change Business Partner to join our Domestic Change business. This is a full time role, based at our Durham site on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

Role Description In this role you will partner key stakeholders across our Domestic Change business as well as the wider operational business and will contribute to the development and implementation of the end to end, consolidated Domestic Change plan. You will build relationships with the partnered operational area and effectively co-ordinate the feed in and delivery of changes, which may include internal initiatives, continuous improvement projects, strategic programme deliverables and externally mandated change

Skills and experience Planning

Partner the operational business in relation to identifying and defining their candidates for inclusion in the Change Plan, to enable the achievement of their business plan and strategic objectives through people, process and system changes

Work with the VMO prioritisation function to review and evaluate opportunities identified by stakeholders

Work with the operational/business and VMO/ capacity management to clarify and secure resource requirements

Feed into Domestic Change budgetary and capacity planning and forecasting

Support stakeholders in establishing appropriate KPIs to clearly demonstrate how change initiatives link to business plans, thence the vision, mission and Customer Transformation

Partnering of Change Process

Support the Senior Business Partner in working with Domestic & Change stakeholders through all stages of change activity

Ensure established Change processes and governance are followed to support the timely delivery of change projects in line with expected business outcomes

Maintain a view of the potential impacts of change upon the partnered operation

Identify relevant risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies impacting on operational Domestic areas that require any communications or escalation.

Ensure readiness activities are completed including impact assessment on business unit of wider change plans.

Liaise with local teams to ensure impact and implementation coordination

Lead on post implementation review support for sponsor and business stakeholders

Act as liaison, facilitator and domestic operations interface with change delivery teams as required, in support of the Senior Business Partner

Influencing stakeholders to ensure that Changes are compliant with legal and regulatory constraints; policies and processes are documented, consistent and fully auditable; any non-compliance is highlighted and plans and/or business benefits case put in place to justify; and changes are delivered in line with time, cost and quality expectations through effective end to end change management

Communications and Stakeholder Management

Effectively partner and manage stakeholders / key business interfaces to secure buy in to Change Plan.

Support the development and implementation of robust communications and Stakeholder Management strategies in line with Domestic and broader Retail strategy

Partner, influence, and manage the expectations & perceptions of all key stakeholders and resolve conflict

Influence change progress throughout the change journey and lifecycle

Work with Customer Solutions Management, Domestic Change Delivery teams and relevant Retail Change Projects and Programmes to understand the current status of any changes, projects or programmes and provide updates to stakeholders

Confidently engage at all level of the Business, including external parties where required (e.g. Auditors)

Service Enhancement

Support continuous improvement initiatives and major change programmes

Identify and share opportunities for best practice and improvement

Aid in the development of staff members across Domestic Change

Knowledge and Skills: Experience of Change Planning, Change Delivery and End to End Business Partnering within a large organisation/ complex business environment

Proven track record in building and sustaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholders

Sound understanding and extensive practical experience of change design and delivery disciplines, methodologies and associated processes (e.g Portfolio, Programme and Project management methodologies, release management etc.)

Commercial Awareness and Financial Control skills - Good understanding of budget formulation, management and control

Service focused with a proven success in driving performance
