JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for business development of specificed product line on a region scale.  This includes supporting region Management with financial plans, product line strategy and implementation, product development direction, marketing plans, QHSSE, technical and commercial support, as well as leading management of change.   The position requires a close working relationship with manufacturing, regions, marketing services, and finance and accounting. Collaborates closely with Global Product Line team to provide regional input, and to gather and implement global product line strategies.
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision and Leadership
  • Provide support to the Global Product Line in developing region based business plans
  • Evaluate and plan for future market conditions and align the strategy to take advantage of any changes or opportunities
Sustainable Development
  • Ensure that that Health, Safety, Environment and Quality are the responsibility of all employees
  • Demonstrate effective Safety leadership at all times to enhance the organisation's commitment to safety performance
  • To address QHSE issues at the time of their identification and to implement the appropriate strategies that maintain QHSE awareness throughout the workforce
Financial Performance
  • Responsible for maximizing financial results of product line within assigned region including profit and loss, fixed assets, inventory, capital expenditure and receivables
  • Establish PL forecast revenues and profits in accordance with prescribed guidelines and ensure effective teamwork to meet or exceed targets
  • Complete commercial evaluations and pricing recommendations to the organization with regards to these products and services
Operational Capability
  • Oversee product line operations to ensure service safety, quality, and efficiency, and cost-effective management of resources as per objectives
  • Work with manufacturing and operations in order to manage inventory and asset utilization in order to help with the Business Development efforts including recurring demand planning
  • Ensure compliance with, and commitment to, company processes like Operational Excellence and Performance System, submission and approval of AFEs
Client and Communication
  • Coordinate with Regional and Country/Area Sales and Marketing to plan and implement effective strategic marketing campaigns.  This includes but is not limited to web content, branding, product positioning, brochures, animations, presentations, posters, and trade shows
  • Advise on product development opportunities on a region level
  • Participate with select clients on current and future business opportunities
  • Ensure Country/Area and Regional Sales Teams have support through  sales training and marketing material targeted for application specific opportunities or clients
  • Support Tender preparations

  • Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce.  This includes effective staff leadership, performance management by setting objectives and driving appriasals and communication
  • Drive strategies for recruitment and retention of key personnel to foster an environment that enables the company to attract and retain a high performing talented workforce
SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution of projects
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Skill in examining tenders, market conditions and operational requirements.  Experience in sales and marketing
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.   Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Knowledge of communications and public relation techniques. Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and clients. Work effectively across a diverse multicultural multilingual community
