Basic Function:
Supervise and operate a full range of open and hole fishing tools, maintain equipment and assist with well problems and planning.
Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system, Including:
  1. Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings.
  2. Report all hazardous and unsafe acts.
  3. Actively promote positive safety culture.
 
Adhere to quality procedure and policies in accordance with the ISO9002 (where applicable) quality assurance system, Including:
  1. Compliance to work instructions.
  2. Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances.
  3. Identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit.
Adhere to main job responsibilities:
  • Supervise in the fishing tool services at a well site for the correction of a downhole problem.
  • Prepare and check tools for planned jobs before tools are dispatched to location.
  • Determine the need and use of equipment, when on job.
  • Keep job documentation accurate as required by the Quality System Manual.
  • Prepare and keep accurate paperwork on delivery tickets, job reports, time sheets and other similar administrative forms.
  • Keep accurate paperwork of tools run in the hole.
  • May run reverse unit when needed.
  • Continue training to expand knowledge and experience of fishing tool services.
  • Assist in training of Fishing Tool Supervisor Trainees when required.
  • Ensure that all necessary safety certification is up to date and valid.
  • Ensure that all PPE's as issued by the company are kept in fit for purpose condition.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Advise customer on the proper procedures to perform a fishing operation and provide instruction on proper procedures.
  • Supervise the operation .
  • Attend all fishing related Weatherford technical training.
  • Available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant oilfield experience, including:
  • 5 years with associated handling tools.
  • 5 years oilfield rig experience as drill or higher position.
  • 5 years' experience with open and cased hole fishing operations.
