We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager in our Westinghouse NewCo organization with the position being located in Charlotte, NC.

In this position, the Quality Manager can expect to be responsible for the following:
 
  • Lead, manage, monitor, and coordinate work of NewCo Quality Assurance personnel and contract QA projects personnel to ensure that NewCo work activities meet requirements and standards. Responsible for design and implementation of policies and procedures to support quality work.
  • Lead development of Quality Management System, processes, and procedures that align with WGMS in support of NewCo.
  • Provide QA oversight of NewCo projects and activities including development and issuance of reports and client specific metrics.
  • Provide leadership for NewCo QA integration activities.
  • Provide and coordinate QA support for WEC requested joint activities.
  • Develop and monitor department budget.
  • Monitor department CAPAL activities.
  • Coordinate development and implementation of Major Projects Plans for Quality (MPPQ), Quality Plans, and Division of Responsibility agreements to support NewCo projects.
  • Proactively recruit, hire, and train permanent and contingent staff as necessary to support providing QA support for NewCo projects.
  • Participate in development and implementation of training activities.
  • Participate in or assign personnel to support due diligence visits, benchmarks, and self-assessments, audits, assessments, and surveillances as requested.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
 
  • BS/BA and 10 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, nondestructive examination or engineering. At least 5 years of this time should be associated with the non-nuclear field and at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Project management, heavy construction experience, and working knowledge of ISO standards and US Government contracting desired.
