While acting as a key developer and executing development himself, the new resource will act as a .NET SME been responsible of doing development, deep technical oversight, expert level design reviews, and help drive technical standards and best practices in .Net development. In addition to providing technical guidance he may also lead key initiatives to research and drive the adoption of new .Net compatible technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

As a member of the Primavera CoE team, this role serves as senior technical expert for the UDC (Universal Data Center - GE Homegrown tool) solutions. The CoE has deep penetration supporting Power & Water, Oil & Gas, Energy Management and Transportation. This role requires some hands-on work with the support of a strong technical team. The successful candidate has the opportunity to learn broadly while implementing best practices, improving existing CoE development processes, identify new solution design, define standards and drive simplification opportunities.

• Develop UDC tools and integrations using our .NET platform and webservices
• Executing or supporting technical design of Primavera and UDC solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical design
• Improve common framework and develop common strategy to increase productivity
• Capable of meeting business critical application SLAs, recovery CTQs, and requirements in a cost-effective manner
• Provide senior level technical advice and guidance to internal and external teams in regards to Primavera and UDC tools, integrations, implementations and enhancements
• Maintain industry knowledge related to technology trends
• Leverage understanding of business processes to offer simple solutions
• Integrate with Business Intelligence, ERP and PLM systems
• Deliver new Primavera / UDC components, emerging technologies and enabling tools including Mobile. Seek innovative opportunities.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of application development experience in .Net technologies (VB or C#)
• Experience with data modeling and design in Oracle/DB2 and/or Sql Server
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large system environments.
• Experience in application reengineering and modernization
• Experience in integrating with one or more complex systems
• Experience developing web applications
