As a member of the Primavera (P6) CoE team, the Solutions Architect serves as senior technical expert for the Primavera CoE Infrastructure and components in Amazon Cloud and GE Infrastructure. This role requires some hands-on work with the projects and support team, define and implement proper infrastructure configurations, monitor, maintain hardware inventory, identify weaknesses and implement remediation to ensure performance.

Essential Responsibilities

The CoE has deep penetration supporting Power, Oil & Gas, Energy Connections, Renewables, Global Research Center and Transportation. The successful candidate has the opportunity to learn broadly while implementing best practices, improving existing CoE processes and solutions, identify new solution designs, define standards and drive simplification opportunities.
• Design and implement infrastructure required by the Primavera CoE solutions
• Work closely with the Project and Support team to design and implement proper infrastructure required for new implementation
• Work closely with the Project and Support team to identify and fix issues in the virtual infrastructure
• Work with the different IT organizations across GE and external suppliers for solutions delivery
• Maintain infrastructure inventory and dependencies
• Deliver the infrastructure enhancements required to support new releases of the off the shelf (predominantly Oracle Primavera) and GE homegrown hosted on the Primavera CoE Infrastructure
• Work closely with the COE PM's to ensure proper solutions design and delivery per COE and GE IT standards
• Establish project plans with meaningful milestones and deliver expected results on time and on budget
• Ensure infrastructure design is scalable and capable of meeting business critical application SLAs
• Provide senior level technical advice and guidance to internal and external teams in regards to Infrastructure requirements
• Proactively monitor infrastructure capacity, identify gaps, opportunities and address them as needed
• Maintain industry knowledge related to technology trends
• Establish strong partnerships with our customer base
• Improve and enforce CoE standards
• Seek simplification opportunities and spread best practices
• Manage strategic roadmap for key Primavera CoE programs
• Effectively negotiate with and influence stakeholders and partners

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering; OR high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in an information systems role
• Minimum of 3 of years of IT infrastructure Design and implementation
• Large project experience
• At least 2 years of technical infrastructure support/operations experience
• Experience in working in distributed and culturally diverse teams
