Department Overview

The Internal Audit organization is responsible for enabling the business to effectively and efficiently manage risk in key areas of the enterprise.

The Internal Audit organization is comprised of three departments: (1) Internal Audit; (2) Finance Compliance and Controls; and (3) Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) and Insurance.

This Analyst position is part of the EORM and Insurance department, a department charged with executing timely and effective renewals of major insurance policies and overseeing the management of key operational and catastrophic risks management practices for the enterprise, excluding credit and market risks.

Position Summary

The Insurance and Financial Business Analyst understands various insurance products and structures and works to renew all of PG&E's insurance programs including (but not limited to): liability/casualty, property, director and officer, crime, aircraft, and others.

The position is also responsible for acting as a point of contact with PG&E's insurance brokers, acting as the internal subject matter expert on insurance items to support the lines of business, and managing the surety bond program.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of four years of accounting, financial, or business related experience

Desired Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance-related experience
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple lines of business and build strong working relationships
• Experience with insurance placements and claims in international markets
• Experience with large insurance claims
• Experience with utility industry mutual insurance companies (AEGIS, EIM) • Knowledge of nuclear insurance products and policies
• CPCU, ARM
• Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities both in written and verbal form

Responsibilities

• Supports the renewal of all insurance programs (liability, property, D&O, crime, aircraft, etc.) and evaluates new insurance products and services.
• Supports lines-of-business in decisions regarding types and levels of insurance required for 3rd party vendors.
• Manages certificates of insurance, surety bonds, and third-party insurance certificate tracking.
• Manages PG&E's insurance budget (forecasting, regulatory filings, finance interface, etc.).
