With our services in strong demand from both private and public transportation organisations, water and power utilities, we are expanding our workforce in Sydney and Melbourne.

If you are interested in new challenges in leading and developing some of the most advanced and fascinating systems engineering projects in Australia then we are keen to hear from you. We have immediate opportunities for a Power system study Engineer. This role will have the overall responsibility to:

  • Perform complex power system studies for a large range of markets. The studies will include power plants connection studies, earthing studies, large networks system stability assessment, transient system studies, and small signal analysis
  • High voltage network planning and design, for Australian and New Zealand utilities, and for clients operating large industrial and mining systems.
  • Support project teams performing Owner Engineer activities.
  • Support occasionally the delivery of detailed design of high voltage systems, for renewable, rail and ASP3 markets.
  • Prepare reports with limited guidance
  • Lead work winning in the power system study market
  • Build relation with internal and external clients
  • Mentor graduate engineers with system study activities.


About you

  • Degree qualification in Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or similar
  • Experience in power system studies
  • Technical experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded:


    • Power system studies associated to renewable Generator Performance Standard definition, arc flash studies, and transient analysis of islanded networks and mining systems.
    • Earthing studies
    • The tools of interest for this role are Powerfactory, CDEGS, PSS/E, CYME, PTW32.
    • High voltage networks planning from 11 kV to 330 kV.
    • Consulting experience
    • Power systems design associated to solar and wind power generation
