As the Staff Technical Product Manager, you will operate in lock-step with IT Manager to outline and communicate a clear strategic direction, supporting rationale and goals to the Business (P&Ls), I.T. and Functional members of the Scrum team(s).


Essential Responsibilities

The priority is seamless integration and alignment of goals and objectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Commercial IT and Functional leadership, Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners and Developers.

In addition, you will:
  • Document clear and descriptive business requirements captured as stories and partner with the team to translate to detailed, actionable technical specs
  • Establish concrete deliverables and dates balancing
    resource needs of on-going Operations, new feature builds, defect fixing, and technical debt resolution
  • Create project plans and direct assigned resources to build, test and implement defined requirements
  • Coordinate and resolve escalated issues and priority conflicts facilitating root-cause analysis as needed
  • Manage small to medium projects through use of project management artifacts such as: Charter, Task List, Schedule, Weekly Status Reports, Issues Logs
  • Establish appropriate, regular monitoring and reporting rhythm for assigned activities
  • Continuously analyze incidents and service requests looking for and documenting opportunities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products
  • Prioritize continuously based on understanding and validation of customer problems and needs
  • Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Engage frequently with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contribute to design activities and decisions
  • Own and manage the backlog; order and prioritize projects / tasks to ensure that 1-2 sprints / iterations of backlog are always ready
  • Collaborate with UX in design decisions, demonstrating deep understanding of technology stack and impact on final product
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas
  • Partner with the Service Owner to ensure healthy development process)
  • Be regarded as an expert in Agile Methodology; translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering team
  • Demonstrate excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape Mentor junior team members


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or in a "STEM" Major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams of IT professionals implementing small to medium project

Desired Characteristics

  • Business or I.T. Master's Degree
  • PMP or equivalent certification or on-the-job training
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with Salesforce, Siebel, SAP, Siebel or other CRM and cloud based systems
  • Minimum of 2years of professional experience working within a service delivery, operations, development, and/or application support environment
  • Working experience with Agile, Waterfall, and/or KANBAN development methodology
  • Experience working in Agile engineering environment
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Siebel, SAP, and / or other CRMs and cloud based systems
  • Strong experience using analytics and reporting to identify emerging trends and devise mitigation plans
