Do you want to be part of a dynamic team within one of the UKs big Six Energy providers helping to provide project management support within a large B2B Change function? If so, we are looking for Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis based across the Midlands and with travel to other sites.

Role description

The Business Project Manager will assist the Business in identifying change and will co-ordinate and manage the delivery of change through the entire lifecycle from idea generation through delivery to successful handover of benefits realisation capability to scheme / benefits owner. The role will utilise matrix managed resource and will take overall lead of 3rd party and RWE Systems supplied resource. The role involves working with sponsors, stakeholders, project governance structures and solution providers as appropriate. The role will be responsible for changes delivered around Customer, Product, Process, Organisation, Location, Data, Applications and Technology. All project activity will be defined and delivered through agreed project plans, managing risk, issues, assumptions and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of business objectives against agreed timescales whilst controlling project costs ensuring smooth transition into Business as usual with minimal disruption. Responsible for ensuring alignment of projects and resolution of conflict at project level and identification of contention across the broader portfolios and/or programme that could comprise the delivery of strategic objectives.

Skills and experience

To be suitable for this role we are looking for someone with previous experience within a Project Management role used to dealing with 3rd party suppliers and matrix management of various stakeholders. You will also require:

Degree or equivalent qualification

Good Stakeholder Management and Interpersonal Skills

PRINCE 2 Practitioner with experience of using the methodology to manage projects

Understanding/experience of Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum, DSDM, Lean

Experience of working across different disciplines

Experience of project related problem solving within a complex business environment

Experience of successfully managing projects through the full project life cycle

Experience of handling conflicting demands, prioritising workloads and delegating effectively in order to deliver

Financial Control skills combined with Commercial Awareness
