Robotics Simulators for various ongoing and upcoming Robcad and Process Simulate projects. Our simulation team is comprised of some of the best robotics simulators in the industry including dual suited robotics simulators and technicians who are capable of operating the simulation software and following the projects to the floor. At Jacobs, our simulation team has opportunities to work locally in Michigan and travel the world for special projects such process optimization studies, safety and process health assessments, and other automotive and non-automotive projects.
Junior Robotics Simulator (Entry Level)
  • Excel / Power Point / Word

Intermediate Robotics Simulator
  • 2+ years experience either and/or in RobCad, Process Simulate, Process Designer, Delmia D5, Delmia V5, RoboGuide, Robotstudio
  • Excel / Power Point / Word
  • Simulation Capabilities:
    • Kinematics (Fixture, C-gun, single joint pinch gun)
    • Layouts (DWG/DXF clean up, dxf import, dxf export)
    • Robotic path development
    • Tooling evaluation with collision lists
    • Create multi robot/device/operator SOP/compound operations
    • Produce simulation videos
    • Create DCS, Safemove, RMU, Safe Robot simulation elements and documentation
    • Create 3D and 2D working envelopes
    • Create and import weld files from excel

Senior Robotics Simulator

7+ years experience either and/or in RobCad, Process Simulate, Process Designer, Delmia D5, Delmia V5, RoboGuide, Robotstudio
  • Excel / Power Point / Word
  • Simulation Capabilities:
    • Kinematics (Fixture, C-gun, single joint pinch gun)
    • Layouts (DWG/DXF clean up, dxf import, dxf export)
    • Robotic path development
    • Tooling evaluation with collision lists
    • Create multi robot/device/operator SOP/compound operations
    • Produce simulation videos
    • Create DCS, Safemove, RMU, Safe Robot simulation elements and documentation
    • Create 3D and 2D working envelopes
    • Create and import weld files from excel
    • Configure ABB Robots .rrs file with RCS module (servogun, floor mount, and rail mount)
    • Create Virtual robots and configure Fanuc Robots .rrs file with RCS module (servogun, floor mount, and rail mount)
    • Configure KUKA Robots .rrs file with RCS module (servogun, floor mount, and rail mount)
    • Nachi and Motoman RRS experience a plus
    • Create and run multi robot stations with I/O signals for interference zone monitoring
    • Download robotic paths and programs (must be able to offline edit programs into correct format)
    • Upload ABB, Fanuc, and KUKA robotic programs (must be able to offline edit programs into correct format)
    • Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for robotic safety, seal, paint, rivet, spot weld, mig weld, vision, and handling applications
