Job description
JOB PURPOSE


The Project Control Manager assist the Project Manager in the overall control of the project specifically in charge of managing Cost Control, Planning & Scheduling, Progress Monitoring, Finance Control and Reporting.

REPORTING LINES AND INTERACTIONS

  • Hierarchically reports to: Project Manager
  • Operationally reports to: Section Head(Large Project) Estimating, Cost Control, Reporting & Scheduling Department
  • Directly supervises (operationally): Senior Cost Controller & team, Senior Planner & team.
  • Key interactions (internally, externally): Project Management Team (PMT), Finance, Engineering, Subcontractor, Clients.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES


Project Set Up

  • Setting up all the cost and progress/schedule monitoring systems.
  • Driving the preparation of the Project Procedures in coordination with the Engineering/Procurement/Construction and HUC/Commissioning Mana ger:
    • Cost Breakdown Structure-CBS(Cost Control)
    • Work Breakdown Structure-WBS(Progress and schedule monitoring)
    • Organization Breakdown Structure-OBS(Cost, Progress and Schedule)
    • Change Order Procedure
    • Project Calendar
    • Planning and Scheduling Procedure
    • Progress Monitoring Procedure
    • Quantity Assessment Procedure
    • Project Reporting
  • Review and validate:
    • Master Project Schedules established by the Scheduling/Planning Engineer.
    • Structure of the budget established by the Cost Control Engineer from the Price Sheet.
    • Format of Suppliers and Client's invoices in close coordination with Accounts Department of Technip.
    • Assist the Project Manager and Contract Manager in the preparation of the first project review.
    • Submit for Project Manager's approval on:
      • Master Project Schedules
      • Project Budget Breakdown
      • The structure/methodology of the physical progress monitoring system for the whole project.
      • Project Weekly/Monthly Reports.

Project Execution

  • Assisting the Project Manager to analyze project status, identify deviances and track actions to correct bad trends for schedule, budget and cost.
  • Maintains high level of coordination with the other members of the Project Management Team.
