Mission

Provide engineering support to Gamesa clients or prospective clients and wind farm field operations. Coordinate closely with commercial teams in strategies, priorities and support of sales and warranty initiatives. Define projects, priorities and potential new products for services engineering team, contributing to a unified set of priorities that also involve O&M support and product developments

Main Functions

  • Formulate the external technical voice of Gamesa especially to our in-service customers. Understand and respond to clients main technical requests and concerns in a timely manner
  • Identify commercial opportunities with clients (Wind Turbine and SCADA upgrades, engineering consultant services, new products, etc.) with mutual benefit
  • Review actions and projects with customers, providing continuous feedback. Manage customer expectations, timelines and attend to customer meetings
  • Provide technical explanations to external and internal clients: teleconferences, presentations, etc.
  • Manage project and issue prioritization for a team of senior and junior engineering specialists in mechanical, electrical, software (PLC) and SCADA. Unify these priorities within engineering and other sections of services department
  • Manage internal projects to a conclusion or an orderly handoff in a timely manner. Coordinate and lead cross functional and international teams (mainly USA and Spain)
  • Travel up to 25%


Qualifications

Postgraduate in Engineering - Technical Studies

4-5 years of University Studies in Engineering - Technical Studies

Other Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge of wind turbine subsystems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Project Management, People Management
  • Team oriented
  • Self-motivated - Create direction from ambiguity
  • Track record in customer relations and strategy
  • Experience in the wind industry
  • Working Proficiency in Spanish
  • Understanding of Legal Contracts, Intellectual Property
  • Self-employed experience or other exposure to business development, sales, customer focus
  • Matlab, data analysis, SAP - intermediate
