We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Asset Management Technician in our WECTEC business line.
 
The person filling this position will be focused on the control, trading, purchase and disposal of all IT assets and services.  The person will be responsible for service contracts with telecommunications providers, equipment manufacturers and resellers, and all maintenance contractors.  The person will also interface with the client and subcontractors on the site for the provision of services, and will manage the re-billing for services and items as required. 

In this position, a IT Asset Management Technician can expect to be responsible for the following:
 
  • Maintaining Asset Listing.
  • Manage Additions and Disposals of assets.
  • Manage inter-company Asset transfers.
  • Maintain Contractor accounts
  • MAC tool end user assistance
  • Plan and execute asset verification, investigate and report on variances
  • Identify loan delinquencies
  • Implement training and development of equipment deployment
  • Optional Experience with Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone systems
  • Manage all trackable hardware and software assets in the Global IT portfolio
  • Accountable to proactively monitor IT assets to make certain software is in compliance with SW license agreements
  • Perform proper research to understand issues, and provide proper guidance to support teams to make certain that asset management processes are followed and adhered to

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
 
  • High School Diploma Required and Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years of IT Asset Management experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic Personal Computer hardware.
  • Knowledge of Desktop PC productivity software (Microsoft Office, WinZip, Active Directory, etc...).
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Self-regulated and to possess the ability to work independently
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Good interpersonal / telephone skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, system diagnostic and communication (written and verbal) are critical for success in this position
  • The ability to safely lift heavy objects (PCs, monitors, printers, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and multi-tasking skills
