Job Overview:

The maintenance manager supervises the superintendent, organizes, coordinates, and controls the plant maintenance organization in installing, modifying, maintaining and making repairs to building, machinery, tools, processing equipment and utility facilities.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • The duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to acting as the main on site contact between the client and home office management.
  • Includes directing the superintendent and responsible for all maintenance field and staff functions.
  • Working directly with the client to established plant maintenance requirements and priorities.
  • Maintaining responsibility for maintenance planning and scheduling; assisting the client as requested on financial matters pertaining to the project.
  • Managing all activities to assure efficient and economic performances; monitoring and accepting responsibilities for work quality, cost and schedule.
  • Ensuring the health and wellbeing of all assigned employees by insuring compliance with safety and security rules of the client, company, and government regulations; communicating and enforcing all company policies and work rules.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically has 7 to 25+ years relevant experience.
  • In addition to Levels 1, 2 and 3 competencies provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas or regions through Senior Managers (Level 3); may also manage Managers (Level 2)
  • Deploys resources to achieve financial and business objectives across multiple functional areas
  • Shapes and integrates functional strategies
  • Has in-depth functional and business expertise
  • Applies expertise to create financial and operational solutions that apply across multiple functional areas
  • Leverages relationships with key internal/external customers to support business needs
  • Identifies business issues that may impact organizational results
  • Manages and deploys resources within and/or across multiple functional areas
  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems that cross functional lines
  • Develops business plans to achieve functional or cross-functional objectives
  • Negotiates with and /influences customers and/or organizational leadership to set priorities and solidify relationships
  • Leverages the performance management cycle to motivate employees and support achievement of objectives.

  • Nuclear experience is preferred.
