Then we have an exciting opportunity for a purchaser and future procurement leader in our global repair team!


Global procurement- Service and spare Parts procurement
Service & spare parts procurement is a newly established department set up to support the Vestas global service business and its end customers. We are organized around four pillars; global category procurement, local sourcing, repair and non Vestas fleet. Our strategic objective is to build a competitive advantage for Vestas in the growing service arena by delivering category management strategies, cost out pipelines, quality, value creation and on time delivery. Given the dynamics of the after-market and our dedicated wish to claim leadership in that space you will join a fast paced environment with a strong growth potential.

We are therefore in the process of building a strong global repair team. The goal of this team is to deliver world class repair solutions and strategies driving cost, quality and on time delivery. We are now looking for a driven and experienced senior technical purchaser, who has the skills and passion to contribute to our vision by taking on a leading role in our global repair team

Responsibilities
You will take on a leading role in global repair and your main tasks will be to:
  • Manage repair for main components
  • Identify potential for repair and set up repair solutions
  • Take lead in the global repair strategy development, and in a global cross functional category repair team
  • Establish and maintain a supplier base that supports the KPI's cost, delivery, quality and safety
  • Drive cost-out through new repair solutions, second sourcing or re-negotiations
  • Manage supplier negotiations, key supplier relationships, and frame work agreements with suppliers
  • Identify new repair suppliers and renovation technologies to exceed cost reduction targets

Qualifications
You probably hold a M.Sc. in Engineering or an equivalent technical education combined with experience in technical procurement. Repair business experience and/or experience in the wind power industry is advantageous. Furthermore, you have:
  • Experience in technical procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills in fluent English
  • Independency and drive in daily tasks
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Strong commercial acumen and procurement track record

In addition we expect you to have a solid technical interest, good leadership abilities and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Competencies
  • SAP knowledge
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

Additional information
