Job Description
Siemens Global Service Technology is a part of the Service organization with over 30 years of experience in servicing wind turbines all over the world. The department ensures technology development, implementation and technology support for all turbine models both in respect to legacy fleet and future products. It is a growing international company having a large interface to the rest of the organization.
The Maintenance Improvement team in Service Wind Power Technology is looking for a talented and experienced Project Engineer with knowledge on Maintenance Optimization, Maintenance Excellence or Reliability Centered Maintenance. The department is responsible for the technical content of our preventative maintenance documentation and delivering optimization projects with huge impact on the Service Business.
The main role as a project engineer is to take ownership on specific improvement initiatives on the serialized production fleet and legacy wind turbine models. Additionally, support with customer questions, continuous monitoring of and process development to support the implementation of a fully functional Computerized Maintenance Management System and use of big data for our analytics. The Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology is followed by the team to carry out the technical analysis for these projects.  During the processes you will be supported by highly skilled colleagues, who will help secure a successful completion of the projects.
As Service Technology is a Global department with colleagues located mainly in US, UK, DE and DK, intercultural communication and collaboration experience is important. Finally, being comfortable with working in a global team, distance leadership and an agile working environment are an advantage.

What are my responsibilities?
• Carry out technical analysis to improve maintenance strategies using RCM methodologies.
• Collaborate and make agreements with specialists of other disciplines or system & component manufactures.
• Support Project Manager with scoping, forming business cases and project plans.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders such as the documentation team, business improvement, operations and data analysts.
• Provide input to the documentation team to implement the revised maintenance strategy or improve the maintenance task instruction field technicians follow.    

What do I need to qualify for this job?
• Ideally, understand of the onshore and offshore working environment for wind farms / turbines. Logistics, operation challenges, technical systems knowledge and how to document / describe maintenance tasks.
• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering degree and 2-5 year of experience in the maintenance, wind turbine industry or lubrication & hydraulic systems.
• Experience and technical background in maintenance optimization, analytics, asset management, and reliability centered maintenance or maintenance excellence.
• As a person you are proactive, persistent and self-driven, and you thrive in an environment where you own the development from project initiation until the final solution has been implemented at our individual sites around the world.
• You are innovative, open-minded and have the ability to communicate at all levels with proficient English skills both orally and in writing.
• You are comfortable working in a global team, familiar with distance leadership and interested in maintenance as a technical discipline.
