Position Description:
Saudi Aramco, long known for its leadership in oil exploration, production, and refining, is seeking experienced professionals to join our growing Unconventional Resources (UR) program.

We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Accountant to join our experienced finance team to support the UR organization.

As the successful candidate, you will serve as a business partner dedicated to the UR organization providing strategic and operational support to drive the right business decisions to enhance value within the UR business.
Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or finance. A master's degree would be an advantage.

You will have gained at least 12 years of experience in various financial roles within the oil and gas sector, particularly within the shale/unconventional gas environment. You will have knowledge of applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and be proficient in SAP or Oracle. Experience in Business Object and Hyperion is an added advantage.

You will also possess one or more of the following professional credentials:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following duties:

Business Planning: Coordinate the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for UR.

Performance Management: Coordinate the monthly financial closing processes, and performance management reporting for UR and regions (including capital, revenue, operating costs, production, and financial statements).

Accounting Policy: Provide accounting advice on processes and policies based on international financial accounting standards and U.S. shale best practices. Includes undertaking impairment reviews and management of UR governance forums.

Revenue Accounting: Lead the revenue accounting for the UR business.

Project Accounting: Provide cost management of UR wells and facilities. Ensuring all costs are accounted for accurately and on a timely basis. Provide support to Drilling/Facilities functions on cost analysis and efficiency of key oilfield services. Prepare and manage well and facility AFEs. Undertake well reconciliations. Management of all fixed asset processes for projects.

Economic/Investment Appraisal: Provide petroleum economics and portfolio management support to UR stakeholders. Provide asset managers with commercial support on exploration, appraisal, piloting, and development activities and management of "Project Authorization Request" submissions within UR.

Service Level Agreements: Coordinate the formation and management of Service level Agreements across Aramco.

Cash Flow/Funding Management: Monitor, report, and evaluate the impact of the organization's activities on cash flows.

Systems Development: Develop/leverage accounting and business systems, including the design of processes, procedures, and system enhancements.

Risk Management: Coordinate UR risk review and Enterprise Risk Management system processes.

Audit Management: Coordinate all audits within UR. Assist operation functions in responding to audit recommendations and implementing corrective action.

Mentorship: Coach and mentor other accountants and graduates within the team.
