An international manufacturer of industrial gases requires a document writer to support the commissioning phase of a project in the Middle East.

 

Description:

The successful candidate will be assigned to supporting the project team task force that is responsible for writing, completion and validation of the commissioning, operational and performance testing procedures.   

 

The Document Writer shall be responsible for the completion of the procedures the development of the commissioning activities to the end plant performance testing and validation.

 

The candidate will be an interface with all the engineering disciplines, the Commissioning Management Team and the project organisation, aiding the project to plan, align and reach the targets of the customer. Aim is to obtain a clear testing format and a detailed procedure of how each test will be conducted in line with the document submittal schedule. The candidate will promptly advise the Project Team in case of deviation from the targets, proposing the necessary corrective actions.

 

 

Key Role & Responsibility:
  • Generation of all commissioning test plans, procedures and associated documentation.
  • Interface coordination with all involved disciplines (Engineering, Projects & Commissioning
  • Identify opportunities, risks and deviations
  • Direct reporting to Commissioning Management
  • Creation of a standard format for all test protocols ensuring all relevant data is attached. 
  • Able to quickly assimilate changes into the testing protocol and link into the Air Products commissioning check lists.
  • Commitment to identify, analyze and propose solutions to problems in a constructive and positive manner, suggesting corrective measures
 

Field of Experience and Professional Qualification:
  • Experience in technical document writing within an EPC environment to enable delivery to the end client.
  • Good communication and leadership skills and able to deal with multiple inputs from various engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective analytical & problem solving skills
  • Effective time management, good presentation skill and proactive approach
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
  • Ability to use technical documents such as P&ID’s, Heat and mass balances and instrument data sheets.
  • Engineering degree or relevant industry experience essential.
 

Must have:
  • Technical Writing Experience within an EPC
  • A proven history of working with multiple engineering disciplines.
 

Desirable to have:
  • Experience within the Cryogenic Industrial Gases industry.
