Role synopsis
Provide specialist support to Lubricants Sales Managers in the preparation, management and day to day operations of the Castrol trade loan portfolio. Provide backup support to Trade Finance Analyst in the preparation of monthly reporting.

Key accountabilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with the both Sales Managers and Customers, while ensuring that customer services levels are provided in line with service level agreement standards.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Key Customers.
  • Maintain professional and proactive relationship with all other external and internal teams e.g Sales Managers,
  • Develop networks within BP
  • Management of Trade Investment mailbox, including proposal, approval and contract preparation of all new Trade Loans for all Business Streams
  • Procurement of Castrol assets for equipment agreements
  • Arrange payments to suppliers for equipment in a timely manner
  • Prepare cheque requisitions for payment of pre-paid rebates
  • Add, modify and maintain all Trade Loan account related information in JDE
  • Ensure that all proposals and customer rebate documentation are completed accurately
  • Prepare and distribute month end statements to customers
  • Co-ordinate the efficient allocation of customer payments through the use of appropriate intermediaries
  • Complete and interpret credit searches using tool available to BP and assess credit worthiness
  • Maintain customer files
  • Manage the customer rebate process and data entry in JDE for all customers
  • Understand and act in accordance with BP's Credit Policy
  • Adherence to Service level Agreement with internal Client
  • Accurate and responsive handling and resolution of Sales Manager and customer queries and requests
  • Following up additional information from customer and internal staff either by telephone or written correspondence
  • Ensure JDE and Customer databases are maintained to the highest level of accuracy and integrity
  • Continual review and improvement of current processes and procedures in relation to the Trade Investment portfolio
  • Provide backup to Trade Investment Analyst in month end reporting requirements


Essential Education
Fresh graduates with Degree in Accounting, SPM or Diploma certification in Accounting, or recognised professional accounting qualification

Essential experience and job requirements
  • Knowledge of legal entities is highly regarded (company, partnership etc)
  • Accounts receivable experience in the area of risk assessment is highly regarded
  • Administration experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Exposure to data entry and data analysis
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence both internal and external customers
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team to achieve team objectives
  • Commitment to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of JDE is highly regarded
  • Well developed knowledge of Access, Word, Excel and Exchange or similar applications
  • Require to work Asia Pacific shift hours
