Role synopsis
The VP Petchems Origination focuses on business development efforts for BP's Americas North American Olefin and Petchem trading business. This individual will initiate and negotiate a range of transactions to support BP's Global NGL business strategies and growth agenda. In addition, this individual will collaborate with the trading bench and IST's Structured Products origination teams to generate P&L by offering financial products to the petrochemical market around NGL's, olefins, polymers and other related commodities.

Key accountabilities
The VP Petchems Origination has the following responsibilities: 1) increase access to physical assets that provide trading optionality, 2) deliver Strategic Origination financial performance targets through new deals such as tolls, storage, marketing agreements, alliances, and partnerships, 3) lead commercial efforts in close coordination with BP's NGL trading bench and Structured Products teams focused on long term strategic commercial relationships with petrochemical counterparties, 4) deliver incremental revenues associated with Structured Products flow business.

The VP Petchem Origination does not have any direct reports, and will collaborate with the origination and trading teams to perform its responsibilities.

Essential Education
Undergraduate degree required

Essential experience and job requirements
  1. Extensive experience in origination/marketing with a broad experience in the NGL and/or Petrochemical industry,
  2. Knowledge of North American NGL and petrochemical infrastructure and a robust network of contacts along the supply chain,
  3. Negotiation and deal structuring skills,
  4. Expertise in transactional economics, deal and risk valuation,
  5. Interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with customer's executive management.
