Duties and Responsibilities

Production Unit Leader for the Power Networks System Protection and Control group.

Responsible for planning, supervising, directing and leading team activities to successfully complete assigned tasks and projects within budget, per project requirements, and on schedule.

Maintains technical expertise; creates original designs; and develops design guides and standards. Monitors or performs highly complex engineering, design, calculations, analysis or other technical tasks.

Manages resources and resolves problems. Performs independent audits and reviews of technical work. Implements corrective action to enhance performance when required Supervises or mentors subordinates and provides input regarding performance. Performs employee development activities including mentoring, training, and constructive feedback.

Performs business development activities including sales, proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provides input for scope documents and client presentations.

Performs administrative functions including implementation of management policies and procedures.

A superior team leader excelling in the resolution of complex issues and meeting commitments

Qualifications:
Experience and Qualifications

  • 15 years experience in protection and control engineering for switchyards and substations including supervisory experience.
  • PE required
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Expertise with power system related calculations including relay settings and coordination studies, and with EHV, high and medium voltage electrical equipment.
  • Skilled in protective relaying especially for transmission lines including EHV, high and medium voltage systems.
