ENERCON has an immediate opening for a National Geoscience / Environmental Remediation /Due Diligence Service Line Leader to develop and grow our nationwide site investigation, remedial design/action and associated due diligence practice. The ideal candidate will lead business development and project execution activities. The candidate will serve our client's needs in evaluating, planning, organizing, and profitably performing environmental consulting services in various voluntary and regulation-required frameworks as well as supporting opportunities evolving from transaction services. The position will focus on soil, aquifer/groundwater, storm water, wastewater, sediments and/or air or vapor investigation and remediation work, including spill response services. It will also provide close connection and leadership to a sophisticated due diligence and transaction support group completing Phase I ESA's and Property Condition Assessments (PCA's).

The candidate will possess the following attributes:
• Nationally or regionally recognized subject matter expertise with technical experience and capabilities for performing complex, multi-media, investigation, clean-up and remediation programs with associated project management skills. This involves projects with specific regulatory requirements such as RCRA Corrective Action, CERCLA, TSCA or other state mandated, voluntary or risk-based clean-up programs.
• Experience working closely, supporting (including reviewing work products) and successfully leading growth of environmental due diligence services supporting financial, REIT/PE and private sector manufacturing clients.
• Operating and management experience associated with a fast-paced, nationwide Service Line with a demonstrated track record of profitable and market centered growth.
• Strong business development acumen, including identifying and acquiring targeted clients through technical capabilities and leadership with growth oriented sales initiatives in various manufacturing market sectors with corresponding contaminants of concern.
• An external, client-facing repertoire and the ability to lead by example supporting staff in the acquisition of value-based remediation services with a variety of private (including power and utility) and public sector clients. This will include cultivating, identifying and responding to RFP's and RFQ's,
• Experience with publishing technical papers, communicating case studies, participating in conference and seminar speaking engagements and professionally contributing to technical societies. This includes a demonstrated ability to lead staff in a similar professional technical development approach across the Service Line.
• Achieve client objectives by obtaining information, evaluating concerns and needs, developing strategies, negotiating agreements, and the leadership of all types of technical and project deliverables (reports, work plans, designs, regulatory negotiations, etc.).
• Ability and desire to mentor and coach junior staff.
• Ability to direct/coordinate/manage environmental projects, including subcontractor selection, oversight and management.

Job Requirements (education, skills, certifications, licenses)
• Minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science required. 10+ years of experience in Soil and Groundwater Investigations, Remediation, Voluntary or Risk-Based Clean-up Programs, Brownfield Redevelopment Programs, and/or Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Demonstrated technical leadership of a growing nationwide practice including Profit & Loss and sales responsibility.
• Strong problem solving skills and scientific evaluation skills with clear and effective verbal and written communication styles.
• Self-starter and ability to develop and maintain/nurture client relationships.
• Computer skills including knowledge of MS Office, Word & Excel.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, a plus.
• This position requires a clear Motor Vehicle report/driving history and the ability to travel approximately 15-25%
• Advanced certifications and/or license(s) required
