Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Planner for our Atlanta, GA office. This opportunity will work on transportation planning projects, such as, long range plan, countywide multi-modal transportation plans, corridor studies, transportation funding and transportation policy. The position will also be responsible for writing documents, preparing maps, conducting data analytics, research and light graphic design. Must be willing to work independently when conditions are appropriate or with limited supervision. Ideal candidates should possess organizational skills, and report writing experience. Experience with community engagement is a plus.

• Multimodal planning focus with some combination of active transportation planning experience, transit planning experience, freight planning experience, and/or roadway planning experience
• Willingness to research and figure out complicated tasks
• Ability to work independently and proactively identify work assignments
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Understanding of guiding legislation and regulations including but not limited to: Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act

• Bachelor's degree in city and regional planning, urban policy or related field required; Masters of Science degree in city and regional planning, urban policy or related field is preferred.
• 3 - 5 year's of related experience required
• Experience working with ArcGIS, Python, Model Builder, and ArcGIS Online required
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is required
• Experience with data analytic software such as Tableau is preferred
• Ability to work with Travel Demand Model outputs is preferred
• Ability to work with big data such as AirSage, Streetlight, INRIX, HERE both temporally and geospatially is preferred
