Provide Navy technical Project and Program offices with needed computer support services and resources. Analyzes and assembles computer system support solutions, evaluates database results, resolves NMCI computer resource problems and generates reports as needed to help ensure customer computer resources meet or exceed technical project requirements. This task includes: researching system solutions, submitting requests and processing computer requirements for employee communication services (NMCI, cell phone, desk telephone, air card, etc.), generating financial status reporting, filing and document retrieval, maintaining accurate and current computer resource lists and the ordering of needed computer supplies.
High School diploma or equivalent required, AS degree in business desired. A minimum of two (2) years of experience- processing scheduled computer routines (e.g., resolving error conditions), resolving computer error conditions, implementing corrective repair procedures referring computer problems that do not respond to preplanned procedure to appropriate repair personnel., and may serve as an assistant operator, working under general supervision.

Additionally, candidate must also have experience processing computer orders and returns, tracking computer systems and systems configurations, diagnosing and correcting equipment malfunctions; reviewing error messages and make corrections during operation or referring problems to repair technicians and maintaining database records. Excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to multitask, and be proficient in the use of MicroSoft Office with work experience in a progressive environment. Previous experience as an NMCI ACTR is a plus. Experience supporting highly technical customers is required.

U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain an interim and a permanent U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

Criticality of Attendance

• Normal hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm

• Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines

• Regular attendance is necessary and required

Other Essential Functions

• Must be 18 years of age

• Must be able to communicate effectively

• Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with clients, supervisors and co-workers

• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others

• Must be able to support and work in a proactive team environment

• Must hold the safety of yourself and those around you as the number one priority in the workplace

• Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance required

• Must be able to obtain a DoD CAC card
