Due the explosion of our workload in our industry leading York Office we are now looking for a Senior Risk professional to head the risk package of work on one of the largest rail engineering projects in the UK.

As our Risk Manager you will be working within our highly successful Risk Group and advising our key client on managing risk throughout the life-cycle of a £multi-million / multi year, engineering project.

This is a key recruitment the leadership team on this project

Responsibilities

Your activities will likely include:
  • planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for our client
  • risk assessment, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting clients
  • risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organisation's previous handling of risks
  • establishing and quantifying the client's 'risk appetite'
  • risk reporting for the client
  • corporate governance involving external risk reporting
  • carrying out processes such as purchasing insurance, implementing health and safety measures and making business continuity plans to limit risks
  • conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors
  • providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the project

We are looking for a senior risk executive who has extensive risk experience on key engineering projects. Ideally someone who has worked in a rail environment and has had exposure to nationwide project schemes.
