In this position, you would ensure that the boiler and chiller systems operate effectively within their design capacities and/or capabilities. This would include monitoring asset condition, scheduling routine inspections, performing maintenance and minor repairs, managing the chemical inventory, calibrating equipment and monitoring the Metasys Building Maintenance System.

Our Boiler Plant Operator career offers you the opportunity to perform wide variety of preventive and maintenance repairs on boiler and chiller systems that control the environment of the Atlanta Airport.
In this position, you would ensure that the boiler and chiller systems operate effectively within their design capacities and/or capabilities. This would include monitoring asset condition, scheduling routine inspections, performing maintenance and minor repairs, managing the chemical inventory, calibrating equipment and monitoring the Metasys Building Maintenance System.
Additionally, our Boiler Plant Operator will use their expertise to monitor control panels and panel boards and adjust controls, valves and pumps manually or by remote control to regulate flow, pressure levels and distribution. You would be responsible for operating and controlling electric motors, pumps, engines, generators and valves in the plant to regulate the HVAC system at the Atlanta Airport. You would also collect samples and performs routine laboratory tests to ensure proper chemical levels.
To complete this work as a Boiler Plant Operator, you will be required to use lifts and ladders in the performance of your assignments, which may also be completed in a variety of weather conditions. The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally is required, along with experience using basic technology, such as a computer work station and radio. Basic typing skills are also required. This position vacancy at the AAT Project is available on Second Shift, which operates from 2PM-10PM. The AAT Project operates 3 shifts daily on a 24/7/365 schedule. Other work scheduling requirements may also apply during extreme weather events. Each shift rotates every 4 weeks from a Monday-Friday schedule to a Wednesday-Sunday schedule and then back to a Monday-Friday schedule to ensure necessary coverage to meet project and client requirements.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Basic Qualifications • Minimum one (1) year experience with industrial production techniques and industrial equipment required
• Ability to operate plant boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pump motors and compressors in a safe condition
• Ability to monitor Metasys BMS
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Georgia Driver's License with no major infractions

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Three (3) years' experience with industrial production techniques and industrial equipment required
• Ability to operate plant boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pump motors and compressors in a safe condition
• Intermediate understanding and ability to use Metasys BMS
• Associate's Degree or BA
• Georgia Operators Certification
• Valid Georgia Driver's License with no major infractions
