The ABB Global Business Services - Information Systems organization (GBS IS) is seeking a high calibre IS Workforce Manager for ADM. GBS IS is a unique unit working on infrastructure services and software development which supports business processes of ABB across the world. Everyday a team of talented developers, infrastructure experts, project managers, service managers and other specialists works on advanced IT solutions which improve efficiency of our company. ABB is currently developing the IS Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) Organization to consolidate and deliver high quality IS services to ABB business units around the globe and focus more of our attention to innovation and development. We are currently looking for candidates for the position of IS Workforce Managers for ADM.

Tasks:
The core responsibility of IS Workforce Manager will be to organize globally and locally required resource capacity and capability upon forecast from a Project Portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for global work force management and for staffing of IS projects and IS solutions within an area of the ADM organization. You will collaborate with internal resource owners and Vendor Managers to build and manage internal & external capacity and capabilities.

As an IS Workforce Manager, you will:
• Be responsible for Workforce management and staffing of IS projects and solutions as well as support recruitment/selection, performance management and training and development of the IS workforce;
• Determine the proper resources forecast in the short, medium and long term and effectively manage correct resource allocation based on the project portfolio and changes backlog;
• Contribute to the definition of actions along with other work force managers to continuously improve the workforce planning and allocation processes;
• Be responsible for the satisfaction with Workforce Management Services by validating expectations, taking actions to close gaps, and managing stakeholder perceptions of WFM service;
• On request, train and educate IS Specialists, support planned development opportunities to a centralized pool of IS employees through the implementation of training plans;
• Support recruitment/selection, performance management and training and development of the IS workforce;
• Define and set standards for Workforce Management methods and quality assurance as well as ensure compliance with any other ABB IS Standards;
• Build and maintain good relationships with senior ABB business managers and key stakeholders.

Requirements:
• At least 5 years' of workforce management experience, preferably, within Supply Chain or Talent Acquisition areas; knowledge of Information Systems (IS) domain would be an added value;
• Substantial experience in Project management, including demand management, portfolio planning and project support;
• Proven experience in managing 3rd party providers and internal & external senior stakeholders;
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
• Ability to collaborate in global, multicultural and virtual teams;
• Ability to act within and facilitate organizational change;
• Strong results orientation with the relevant customer-focus;
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills;
• Good organization, time management and decision making skills;
• Training and competency development experience would be an advantage.
