The ABB Global Business Services - Information Systems organization (GBS IS) is a unique unit providing software development and infrastructure services which support the business processes of ABB across the world. Everyday a team of talented developers, infrastructure experts, project managers, service managers and other specialists works on advanced IT solutions to improve the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of ABB business operations. ABB is currently developing the IS Application Development and Maintenance Organization to consolidate and deliver high quality, cost-effective and innovative IS services to ABB business units around the globe. Joining the ABB IS ADM Organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international environment, solve complex problems and grow together with the rapidly developing business. We are currently looking for candidates for the position of Global IS Delivery Manager for various IS Domains: Global IS R&D Delivery Manager, Global IS Operations Delivery Manager, Global IS Product Management Delivery Manager, Global IS Service Delivery Manager, Global IS Finance Delivery Manager, Global IS HR Delivery Manager, Global IS Delivery Manager for Information Systems, Global IS Delivery Manager for Legal, Integrity, Corp & Comms and Other.

Tasks:
The core responsibility of the Global IS Domain Delivery Managers will be to lead a global team of IS Service Managers, Functional Analysts and Application Managers with the aim of delivering IS supply services and solutions based on the demand generated by the business domain in scope and on the SLA agreed.

As a Global IS Domain Delivery Manager, you will:

• Be accountable for delivering of "End to End" IS solutions/services within the assigned domain or cross-domain accordingly to agreed schedule, cost and quality utilizing internal IS delivery units, the IS operations team members as well as external 3rd party IS service suppliers;
• Partner with the IS Business Engagement Manager (IS BEM), Domain Architects, Domain Process Owners and the remaining IS organization's leaders in order to ensure the delivery of the supply services based on the deliverables agreed in the Service Agreement as well as projects;
• Review the status and quality of the service along with the IS BEM and the IS organization and eventually define and deliver the actions required to improve the quality of the service and keep it aligned with business needs;
• Provide cost, service performance and project status transparency to IS Business Engagement Manager and other stakeholders;
• Ensure effective interfaces between local/global IS teams for all IS activities;
• Support the development, installation, management, maintenance, optimization of internal IS and cross-functional processes related to IS service delivery or IS service demand in relevant area of responsibility;
• Ensure work in the delivery domain is compliant with ABB IS Enterprise Architecture, the ABB IS Application Roadmap and any other applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines, especially ABB IS Guidelines and Directive, which deal with IS service delivery;
• Manage assigned budget effectively and deliver activities within agreed schedules and costs. Participate in the definition of costs and schedules. Look for opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining levels of service;
• Participate in the definition of the ABB IS Strategy development (as required) by representing the aspects such as capabilities, good practices and ABB available solutions, while understanding the relevant business, support-function or technology domain;
• Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee;
• Provide leadership to the IS Service Management Team(s) and apply skill and competency development standards to motivate, retain and reward team members.

Requirements:
• Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar;
• 12+ years of IS experience within the relevant IS domain;
• Deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IS technologies;
• Strong experience in managing large and diverse teams across multiple IS technology domains;
• Superior line management experience with excellent organizational development and management skills;
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical IS capabilities and solutions;
• Excellent experience in project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle;
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL processes;
• More than 5 years of experience in working within global organization in a non-native country and culture;
• High cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in a complex, multicultural and global matrix environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, such as strong organizational, communication, negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills;
• Strong competence in spoken and written English is a must.
