The Network Operations team is part of the Service organization that is responsible for Delivery & Maintenance Services and the Network Operations Infrastructure. The market of EV-fast charger is in the early stage of the growth curve. The early stage of the business also has an impact on the organization and particular the Network Operations Centre. It means that the organization has a strong need for observing, learning and making improvements if required. The Network Operations Engineer is a key role in the process of observing, learning and making improvements. Therefore the Network Operations Engineer must be self-starting and having a strong driving force to help the organization grow. The business and organization is currently not in a stage that strict tasks, processes and procedures are defined to which can be referred for job execution.

As a member of the Network Operations Centre team, the Network Operations Engineer is responsible for

• Managing the network of the chargers by
o activating chargers as part of installation,
o monitoring the status,
o detecting operational issues,
o identifying the cause of the issue,
o solving issues which are related to the (mobile) communication, ABB back-office and interface to external parties.
• Linking pin between the Network Operations Centre, Operations-Services and R&D for those issues that are related to hardware failures and/or errors in the software.
• Reporting the up-to-date status of the network including the status of the issues.
• Initiate communication to the customers in the event of operational issues identified by the Network Operations Centre.
• Prime operational contact to the supplier(s) of (mobile) communication.
• Monitor performance and data usage of the mobile network
• Providing support to enable our customers for our web applications.
• Prime contact for our customers to implement (OCPP) Integration API's and answering questions.
• Up-to-date administration in the Service Cloud of the provided access to the web applications, OCPP integration API's and any other data which is required for the execution of the role.
• Contributing to improving the way of working of the NOC in order to achieve a more efficient and effective manner of managing the network.
• Contributing to improving the quality of the network of chargers.
o It is expected that the Network Operations Engineer suggest, defines and implements improvements related to the (mobile) communication, ABB-back-office and interface to external parties. The Network Operations Engineer takes the lead for the realization of the improvements
o Improvements related to hardware and/or software changes will be executed by R&D and Operations-Services. The Network Operations Engineer takes an active role to drive the progress of the improvements.
• An all-round ICT professional with administrative skills.

• You have a Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or equivalent skill level.
• Strong analytical skills.
• You work accurately and disciplined.
• You can work independently in a team and have good communication skills.
• Clear communication (verbal & written) in at least English (and preferably also with knowledge of Dutch).
• Experience and knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Knowledge of (linux)scripting is a strong plus.
• Ability to read software coding is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of system administration is a plus.
• Knowledge of Cloud solutions is a plus.
• Experience in a highly available, high-volume environment is a plus.
