Support senior leadership (EC, division/BU/Region/country management) in development and implementation of mid- and long-term strategies. Provide insights into trends in markets and competitive landscape and derive strategic opportunities for ABB. Ensure ABB-wide perspective in strategy development and foster business-led collaboration across ABB's businesses

Tasks:
Lead Large Strategy Projects
- Develop approach, strategic framework and detailed work plans
- Provide guidance and support in data gathering and analyses
- Create new, impactful strategic insights, esp. identifying profitable growth opportunities
- Quantify opportunities in comprehensive business plans
- Translate into actionable implementation plans
- Engage senior leadership in discussions and presentations, get inputs and buy-in
- Ensure project progress and output according to defined schedule and milestones
Act as Thought Partner for Senior Management
- Monitor markets and competition, identify new trends
- Pro-actively provide ideas for new strategic opportunities, challenge status quo - based on clear analyses and strategic reasoning
Lead and Develop Corporate Strategy Staff
- Support, coach and develop direct reports, esp. in building/enhancing essential strategy development skills
- Participate in recruiting of staff with right skill base and potential
- Support direct reports in transition to next career step

Requirements:
- approx. 10 years business experience with strong focus on strategy development and implementation, a significant portion of which will have been acquired in a leading strategic consultancy
- Proven ability to lead complex strategy projects to success, incl. framing/planning, hypotheses generation, analyses, synthesis, communication and team leadership
- Utility, industry and/or transport & infrastructure experience, preferably related to power and/or automation
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (English mandatory, secondary languages a plus)
- Experience in engaging and working with senior management
- People development capabilities
