Job description
JOB PURPOSE;


Coordinate and guide project EPCC's and Contractors Lifting focal points in improving their Lifting Management systems.



REQUIREMENTS;
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

  • Spore MOM Bldg & Const Safety (Supervisor) Course
  • Spore MOM Petrochemical Safety (Supervisor) Course
  • Spore MOM Risk Management Course
  • Spore MOM Lifting (Safety) Supervisor Course
  • Minimum 10 years' experience
  • Experience in Inspection of Lifting Equipment and Lifting Gear
  • Lifting professional that is experienced in project work and able to evaluate the quality of lifting documents including but not limited to Procedures, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Strong Knowledge of different types of Lifting Equipment and Lifting Gear
  • Computer skills which will enable him to prepare reports, presentations and investigations if required.
  • Experience in auditing to ensure the lifting management systems meeting the project requirements.
  • Good interpersonal skills.


Primary Role:

  • Participate and provide guidance in investigation that involved lifts.
  • Organize and facilitate a month lifting steering committee to identify upcoming lifts, new lifting equipment being brought onto the project, lifting challenges and to agree/develop the monthly lifting campaign topic.
  • Work with the HSE Communication Liaison officer in preparation of the monthly lifting campaign material.
  • Review the Lifting awareness training material which will be shared with EPCC's and Contractors.
  • Conduct audits on EPCC's and Contractors lifting programs to ensure they meet both DOSH and the Project requirements (MCF and PTS's).
  • Assess the EPCC's and Contractors lifting focal points to determine if they are competent to do the job.
  • Conduct inspections of lifting equipment as and when required.
  • Evaluate complex lifts, supporting the EPCC's and Contractors but not signing off any lift plans
  • Prepare and drive the implementation of a project lifting procedure based on MCF, PTS's and DOSH requirements.
