We are quickly expanding our operations and want to increase our dynamic, growing Development Team in Delft (Zuid-Holland) with a talented and motivated Senior Software Developer.

As a Senior Software Developer you will be face with an interesting scale, scope and technical complexity of our application. You will be working with a wide variety of technical personnel and a broad range of different cultures and languages. Complex algorithms and modelling will be part of your day to day challenge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

You are part of the software development team in one of our 10 cross functional scrum teams to work on the new framework JewelEarth as well as the subsurface modeling software, JewelSuite.

As a Senior Developer you will take part in all aspects of the SDLC: from refinement, architecture, design, estimating, through the programming, verification and maintenance of our software platform. You will be working with the team, Product Owner and Subject Matter Experts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • You have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or natural sciences / engineering, with significant experience in Software Development;
  • Thorough knowledge of software architecture, object oriented design, unit testing, and parallel programming patterns;
  • Experience in technical or scientific software engineering ;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, C#, C and a source code control system such as TFS and Git;
  • Experience with current development practices (SOLID, TDD, BDD, CI, etc.);
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written);
  • Organized towards tasks and responsibilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS
  • MSc / PhD preferred in related subject.
  • Experience in similar function.
  • Prefer to work within a product development instead of project development
  • Scrum/Agile experience is an advantage
  • MCSD Certification is an advantage
  • Significant level of related experience, ideally within the Oil service industry
  • An appreciation of the bigger business picture, not just its IT requirements
