ROLE SYNOPSIS

The Sr. SAP Developer Supply Chain Planning is a Key role within the IT Supply Chain, Manufacturing and AMO department, implementing IT solutions in support of the Value Chain in the Global Products and Services business area. With accountability for ensuring delivery of Standard Enterprise IT solutions in support of several product lines, oilfield operations, manufacturing plants and logistic network spread strategically across the globe. Partnering with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leaders from initial concepts through design, development, deployment and support.

Functional areas of knowledge includes: Master Data, BOM and Formula Management, Substitutes /Supersession (phase-in/phase-out), Aging, Inventory turns, Visibility/Reporting, Sales & Operation Planning, Inventory Optimization, Demand/Supply Planning, Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirement Planning, Capacity Requirement Planning, Distribution Planning, Detail Scheduling and Production Optimization, Manufacturing/Warehouse Management, Material Segmentation/ABC, Material Valuation (Standard costing/periodic unit pricing, FIFO, Average, etc.), Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment Agreements, Intercompany Movements, Interfaces with other systems, MRO and Spare Part Planning, etc.

Integration with SAP Procurement, Sales & Distribution, Engineering, Manufacturing and Preventive Maintenance, MES/MII modules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Participates in meetings and builds trust with internal business customers, understands business objectives and seeks alignment. Communicates effectively across the organization. Manages customer expectations, evaluates risk, generates alternatives, provides estimates, balance priorities and manages service levels. Pragmatic solution builder that understands the balance between process, people and technology
  • Stays current with technology trends and IT best practices for SAP development and configuration
  • Expert on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and techniques. Including change control management, check in/out process, Change Advisory Board, Testing Techniques, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of IT Frameworks such as Cobit or ITSM/ITIL. Aware of SOX and Segregation of Duties. Knowledgeable of Project Management methodologies (PMI)
  • Expert on SAP ECC/MM, SCM-APO (DP, SNP, PP/DS, GATP, CIF, BW) modules, provide guidance/consultancy on best SAP practices, promoting maximum utilization of SAP standard capabilities. Expert ABAP developer and/or configurator for ECC and APO
  • Works collaboratively with peer IT colleagues. Adheres, follows and improves shared IT procedures. Establish alliances and foster affinity and team spirit.
  • Ensures clear definition of problem statement, business case and scope. Seeks project value realization
  • Seeks continuous improvement opportunities, both in IT and Business processes. Participates in As-Is/To-Be sessions, requirements gathering and gap analysis
  • Coordinates contractors (onsite and offshore). Conduct code review sessions and Quality Assurance. Defines testing procedures
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other equivalent title
  • 4 years related experience
  • 7 years progressive IT SAP Advisor or Developer or Configurator for ECC/MRP and APO
  • Experiences in Operations/Manufacturing industry, global and complex enterprise environments
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent documentation capabilities (Functional Requirement Document, Technical Specification, Testing Scripts, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and complex environment
  • Good organizational skills, Balances multiple priorities. Thorough and Detail oriented
  • Ownership, Leadership and Can-Do attitude is essential for success
  • Certifications in support of area of responsibility: ITIL, SAP ECC/APO
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Certification on Supply Chain such as CPIM or CSCP
  • Knowledge in Integrated Business Planning and SmartOps
  • Executive level communications
  • Oilfield services, energy, high tech, Industrail equipment experiences
