JOB SCOPE:
The Region Technical Manager is the focal point and responsible for technology deployment, asset and inventory management, and service delivery from the Global Product Line to the Region, providing technical  leadership and direction within the Region to ensure operational knowledge and quality of the product offering.   Technical expert for the operations, client, and account management teams.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define and co-ordinate the technical rollout of information and implementation of existing technical product offerings, new product offerings and region needs
Promotes technical excellence of Company and Product Lines in conjunction with management through  publications and presentations in conjunction with marketing and product line management
Regularly communicate technical information, support ,vision and quality objectives to Region and Country employees
Regulary communicates with the Global Asset and Inventory team on inventory levels, asset utilization, and future demand planning
Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals thought innovation, quality and excellence
Establish and maintain an effective skilled support structure to meet the needs of the business in the short and longer term, maximizing reliability and quality and minimizing cost exposure
Develop short and long range plans with the Global and Region leadership to promote the technical strategy for the client and associated asset and inventory requirements
Establish project budget forecast  for assets and inventory in coordination with Region and Global product line strategies and ensure effective teamwork to meet and exceed approved targets
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate regulatory bodies and industry forums
Strategically leverage different parts of the organization and manage across product lines to achieve growth in conjunction with product roll out and offerings
Ensure that that Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and Reliability are the responsibility of all employees
Demonstrate effective Safety leadership at all times to enhance the organization's commitment to safety performance
To address QHSE and Reliability issues at the time of their identification and to implement the appropriate strategies that maintain QHSE awareness throughout the workforce
Lead and coordinate teams, schedule project timelines, arrange for resources to manage a positive resolution of technical problems as and when needed.
Responsible for technical support for field operations and liaison to Engineering, Business Development, and Product Line Managers
Research and coordinate key client technical requirements for management consideration
Responsible for the review and analyze of procedures to determine if benefits derived and possible applications are operationally feasible
Influence internal stakeholders and play a pivotal role in the improvement of Company PL capabilities
Oversee the effective deployment of technical training and support of all Weatherford Product Lines, including expanding technologies
To instigate, drive and take ultimate responsibility for continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the internal process within the organization meet the needs of the business
Responsible for the movement of assets and inventory within and outside the region to ensure maximum utilization and minimum inventory levels
Responsible for the implementation of Global Product Line service delivery and quality standard
Responsible to ensure timely incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis are performed and lessons learned communicated across the region and to the Global Product Line
Lead and promote teamwork through open communication to ensure correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements are implemented and followed
Promote continued development and growth of technical competencies within the workforce
Assist in the recruitment process of technical field and sales personnel in order to foster an environment that enables the company to attract and retain a high performing, talented work force 
QUALIFICATIONS

 SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong leadership and management skills with an ability to balance and prioritize competing interests
Proven ability to build/maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
Excellent influence and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to accurately assess, solve, implement, and communicate solutions to problems
Proven focus on customer service and delivery with an extensive knowledge of oilfield equipment, parts and services
Range and depth of experience in business management, budget control, asset and inventory management, people management and safety leadership
