JOB SCOPE:
To develop novel and new-to-Weatherford data analysis methods and workflows related to production petrophysics, with a strong focus on exploiting data from the new generation CRE pulsed neutron logging tool, and to evaluate the methods, and assist in all aspects of their commercialization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
As the Production Petrophysics Research go-to person, you will be expected to have inventor-level understanding of the methods and workflows used in the delivery of integrated production petrophysics interpretations and their component parts, and be able to communicate these effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
Enhance existing processing and analysis techniques, and develop new products that exploit the unique measurement attributes of the new generation CRE pulsed neutron tool.
Obtain a full understanding of the tools and their measurements by working closely with the measurements research team, and leverage this in the answer products
Originate project documentation, and support training, publicity and other aspects of commercialization for prototype and new production petrophysics answer products.
Conduct regular development project reviews for internal stakeholders.
Generate and present technical papers externally via technical conferences, symposia, and workshops.
Be proactive in identifying research opportunities
Maintain professional standards of work and conduct at all time. 
QUALIFICATIONS

 SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
It is likely that you are already a recognized industry expert in the practice of production petrophysics and in the analysis of pulsed neutron logs in particular, and have a demonstrable publications and presentations track record.
Solid background in operational delivery and/or in advancing the art.
Expert-level familiarity with all aspects of the analysis of production logging and casing inspection data.
Advanced degree, preferably PhD, in physics or relevant geoscience, with strong numeric and analytical skills
Experience working within an R&D environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with project management processes
Experience with MatLab or similar rapid development tools
Excellent inter-personal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently if necessary, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to lead technical resources, for example during evaluation and implementation
Ability to work diligently and in conformance to required processes
Fluency in English
Ability to identify and exploit technical opportunities
Willingness to travel.
