Basic Function:
The Sr. Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for the successful installation of Weatherford Reservoir Monitoring / Intelligent Well Systems.  Lead field team along with safe field operations.
 
Job Summary:
The Sr. Field Service Engineer (SFSE) is responsible for the successful installation of Weatherford Reservoir Monitoring / Intelligent Well Systems.  The installation will be performed directly by the jobholder or indirectly through the supervision of 3rd parties.  The work performed on/offsite will be under customer supervision to the contracted specification. Lead the site team for the successful installation.
 
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop team of people to support Qatar IWS operations.
  • Lead the field team and provide them training on IWS.
  • Customer interaction
  • Support PLM to have successful operations and smooth running of project.
  • Support PLM with the required technical and commercial information related to IWS.
  • Work with other product line within Completions.
  • The SFSE is responsible for ensuring that they are familiar and confident in performing all "field operations" in advance of being required to perform the actual "field operations".  Any deficiencies identified are to be reported in a timely manner to the RM-IWS Project Manager to ensure all "field operations" are performed successfully to the contracted specification.
  • The SFSE is responsible for identifying and documenting any Risk Assessment, associated with performing "field operations" in a timely manner ahead or performing the said "field operation".
  • The SFSE is responsible for ensuring  they participates in a Projects to Operations handover, evaluating the content of any Rig Book and or Procedures and Work Instructions and ensuring any deficiencies are noted and highlighted to the PE.
  • The SFSE is responsible for the Safety, Integrity and Security of all equipment used or delivered for "field operations", they are also responsible for ensuring all equipment is returned and any damages or shortages reported to the Company Rep and PE prior to back-loading and shipment.
  • The SFSE is responsible for all "field operations" equipment.
  • When arriving onsite the FSE is responsible for ensuring that all equipment for installation in the Well is bench checked and where practical all Weatherford and /or 3rd party interfaces are rechecked in a timely manner ahead of Rig Floor operations and any shortcomings reported to P.E and Company Rep
  • The SFSE is responsible for all "field operation" reporting, including daily reports and end of job reporting.

  • Be personally responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or don't do.
  • Actively contribute to the continual improvement of the QHSE Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure that all necessary measures are taken to eliminate or reduce any actual or potential hazard that may be identified with any work related activity.
  • Ensure that all personnel involved in an installation activity are made aware of any actual or potential hazards associated with the work being undertaken.
  • Ensuring that all accidents, incidents or near misses are reported to the IWS Project Manager at the earliest opportunity.
  • In all cases the IWS Project Manager must be notified of any situation or activity which is considered to be unsafe or potentially unsafe.
 
Required Skills:
Essential:
  • Engineering / Technical practical hands-one experience
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel
  • Fluent in English and Arabic will be added advantage.
  • Familiar with quality management systems
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to business change and varying workloads
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision using own initiative to solve problems
Preferred: 
  • Practical experience running downhole monitoring systems
  • Practical experience of rig operations, completion and/or drilling experience
  • Reservoir engineering and/or Well engineering experience
  • Production Optimization / Surface instrumentation experience
  • Good verbal & written Communications skills in English
  • Past experience in Oil & Gas operations in MENA.
  • Ready to work for other product line of Completions.
  • Exposure to gas lift equipment will be added advantage
 
Required Education:
Essential: 
  • Engineering Degree (University or Engineering School) level Engineering or Science
Preferred: 
  • Additional training in Reservoir Monitoring / Production Optimization
 
Required Experience:
  • 1 to 4 years
