"Analyzing the improvement potential in ABB's project logistics after successful factory acceptance test (FAT) until project materials arrive at customer sites." Join the Power Grids Baden, Switzerland Supply Chain Management team (21 employees). We are charged to support the business units at the site with strategic procurement, logistic as well as operational purchasing services. We are responsible to competitively procure from ABB internal as well as external sources, equipment and services ranging from small parts up to complete power plant subsystems, and supply them to our customer projects across the globe.

Tasks:
The study should analyze the current supply chain set-up for projects that have been factory tested until goods arrive at site including all related document flows. Aim is to identify improvement potential with respect to:
- Shortening of lead times
- Net Working Capital improvement
- Efficiency improvement through deployment of Logistics tools or enhanced interface management.

The scope of work consist of:
1) Analyzing the cross functional end-to-end process for Supply Chain (Logistics), Project Management and, Commercial Department through interviews, data mining, etc.
2) Mapping the process and highlight the challenges and frictions in the different process steps
3) Proposing improvements, displaying saving potentials

Requirements:
- Student in business, economics or similar discipline
- First experience in Supply Chain Management (internships etc.)
- Affinity for Supply Chain Management processes
- Excellent level of English
