Responsibilities


Work in a project team environment to lead the electrical engineering and design group to execute engineering and construction projects as well as studies, assessments and Owner’s Engineering activities. Prepare and deliver electrical engineering deliverables and in parallel supervise the technical work of other electrical engineers and designers . Specify equipment to achieve high value for cost and limit change orders and field problems. Provide engineering support to designers for arranging equipment and routing raceway and cables. Prepare calculations for electrical distribution and equipment sizing and analysis. Interface with other disciplines and coordinate with client personnel, project management, construction teams, etc. Take active responsibility for schedules and budgets. Lead training and seminars for electrical group. Observe and follow organization safety practices. Provide man hour estimates to support proposals and project work, as well as contribute to new proposals and business development activities. May also function as project manager for small to medium size projects.


Qualifications:
Qua lifications/Requirements


  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 20 years experience in power industry
  • PE required
  • Experience with all aspects of electrical equipment procurement, including sizing, specifying, and evaluation of bids.
  • Experience with arc flash, load flow, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations in ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower software.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing relay setting calculation and protective device coordination.
  • Experience with electrical power generators and transformers preferred
  • Fossil Power Plant experience preferred with emphasis on gas turbine and combined cycle projects
  • Project lead electrical engineer experience preferred
  • Personnel supervision experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Onsite construction field experience preferred
  • Industrial scale photovoltaic experience preferred
