As the Brilliant Factory Director , you will be responsible for information technology solution delivery and project execution/implementation for GE Power initiatives fostering alignment of information technology with operations technology. This candidate will partner closely with various Functional Leaders and IT organizations to drive lean process/simplification and digitization efforts.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Brilliant Factory Director, you will:
  • Partner with supply chain and engineering to define and implement the "Brilliant Factory" strategy for GE Power
  • Manage a team of 8-10 direct resources to support North American Manufacturing plants for Gas Powered Services along with have over all Brilliant Factory leadership across GE Power
  • Lead your to team to define standards and processes for shop floor digitization that meet the business' present and future needs and facilitates rapid and repeatable deployments
  • Lead a team that provides delivery of digitization solutions
  • Deliver multiple projects; manage issues, roadblocks, dependencies, overlaps, over-scopes
  • Identify risk mitigation strategies, take early action to resolve issues and address impacts
  • Provide status updates at all levels of the organization according to the communication plan
  • Manage contingent labor resources and coordinate their delivery while maximizing insourcing of key roles
  • Manage budget and project financials and contracts associated with programs or initiatives for your team
  • Liaise with Digital Technology, Global Research, and Advanced Manufacturing along with executive Supply Chain, Engineering leaders to drive business outcomes
  • Deliver and implement brilliant factory solutions on the factory floor and across the supply chain network



Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working in a combination Information Technology, Operations Technology, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, & Sourcing.
  • A minimum of 5 years Experience leading 6-10 direct resources

Desired Characteristics

  • Understanding of Supply Chain, Manufacturing Execution, Engineering and / or Operations Management
  • Sourcing, Logistics, & International Trade Compliance experience
  • IoT experience
  • Hands on experience in a manufacturing environment, MES, Product Lifecycle Management, Model Based Enterprise / Manufacturing
  • Experience with GE Proficy GE Predix product suite and Historian or similar applications
  • Established project management and organizational abilities
  • Proven leadership skills in both business planning and information technology
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Change Acceleration Process (CAP)
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated abilities to function in team environment as both a leader and member
  • Working in a matrix organization and global delivery model
  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
  • ITLP Graduate / CAS graduate / EIMP
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification
  • ERP and/or MES implementation experience
  • Manufacturing and/or GSCM operations experience
  • Experience in facility development, start-up, or transfer of work
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional environment and effectively interface with all levels of the organization and customers
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify critical issues
  • Strong propensity for excelling in a demanding environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Able to adapt to ever changing priorities
