The Senior Engineer - Forward Lean Services Leader will lead efforts to manage new unit forward lean part configurations, confirm hardware intervals and life, identify opportunities for early productivity introductions into the fleet, as well as establish New Product Introduction Service Roadmaps through validation review of engine test data.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will work closely with sourcing, product management and engineering teams to execute strategies that ensure that the business properly manages new unit and Service's hardware demands.

As the Senior Engineer - Forward Lean Services Leader, you will:
• Understand and assess risks associated with interval extensions and life of HGP (Hot Gas Path) and/or combustion hardware
• Interact with cross-functional teams at multiple levels in the execution of productivity programs, to include but not limited to: Product Service, Product Lines, MYA (Multi Year Agreement) Risk, Design COE (Common Operating Environment), Reliability Engineering, Outage Planning, Customer Support Engineering, Application Engineering, Parts, Sourcing and RTCOE (Repair Technology Center Of Excellence)
• Assess unit health through evaluation of unit operational data, data analytics, historical outage reports, fleet issues, field test data, and both fleet and unit specific part's distress modes / events history
• Be responsible for timely execution of productivity programs in support of Power Services initiatives
• Lead, investigate, quantify and develop opportunities for optimizing gas turbine asset utilization
• Generate interval outage scope recommendations aligned to productivity cost and cycle targets, reliability and performance goals, and customer value
• Integrate Lean Six Sigma, Simplification, Fast Works and other quality tools into day-to-day activities



Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering from an accredited university or college
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity with turbomachinery

Desired Characteristics

• Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering or related field
• Technical background in the design of gas turbine hot gas path or combustion hardware
• Effective interpersonal, communication skills, oral and written
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix global organization
• Ability to rapidly change directions on multiple concurrent projects based on emergent business priorities
• Good understanding of engineering principles and familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Green Belt Certified or equivalent quality certification (GE employees only)
