We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opportunity. We are currently identifying candidates for this future effort. This position is contingent upon contract award of SITEC II to Jacobs.

Jacobs is seeking a Lead Information Technology Recruiter to work in Tampa FL supporting our global SITEC II contract with US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). USSOCOM requires comprehensive worldwide information technology (IT) support to operate and maintain the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Information Enterprise (SIE). The SIE provides support from the garrison level out to forward-deployed tactical operators and sensors worldwide. The services provided by SITEC II will be a key enabler for over 69,700 users operating in approximately 75 countries. The Lead IT recruiter will support the USSOCOM/Jacobs team in providing qualified candidates to fulfill IT requirements world-wide.

Our Recruiter must have extensive experience working with headhunters and staffing agencies, particularly in the information technology arena. The successful candidate will have a keen eye when reviewing resumes and conducting interviews.

Specific duties:
  • Collaborate with the team to deeply understand hiring needs
  • Work with the team to develop unique full cycle hiring strategies and interview criteria/questions for each role
  • Source qualified candidates, review resumes, and prescreen candidates while moving the interview process forward (includes phone screening and face-to-face interviews, administering technical skills tests, contacting professional references, working with our Security team to screen candidate clearance levels)
  • Establish contacts with qualified candidates and build long-term relationships using internet job boards (monster, dice, hotjobs, etc.) and other networking tools (LinkedIn)
  • Review and analyze resumes
  • Lead other junior recruiters as Recruiting team grows

Expertise Requirements:
  • Proven track record for assessing talent beyond matching key words on a resume
  • Proven experience in building and managing a diverse pipeline
  • Ability to qualify a candidate and understand what each candidate brings to the table, connecting that candidate with the right opportunity
  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels
  • Exceptional teamwork and multi-tasking skills

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred and six (6) - nine (9) years of recruiting experience.

PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

Required skills include:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in IT industry recruiting
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Extensive knowledge of applicant tracking software programs
  • Knowledge and experience in all sourcing techniques including internet job boards, ad response, Internet search engines, networking, referrals, headhunting and cold calling
  • Working knowledge of the IT industry
  • Ability to travel when necessary (less than 25%) - especially during startup of the contract

Must have the ability to obtain Secret clearance.



Essential Functions

Work Environment

Work will be performed inside a large facility. Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Position could require some night and weekend work. Travel may be required based on client requirements.

Physical Requirements

Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Equipment and Machines

General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance

Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).

Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client's standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
